If you wish to apply for the 20+ Childcare Bursary, you will need to complete a separate paper application form alongside this portal, this can be found here. You will need to print this form off and sign alongside your childcare provider, please then email a scan or clear photograph of both sides to [email protected].

How to use this Portal

You will use this portal to submit your application, amend or make changes to your application, check the status of your application and to see any awards made to you.
You will need to be enrolled in order to apply for a Bursary using your Student ID (Student ID's may not work for a few working days even if you have enrolled)

A polite reminder that September and October can see hundreds of applications being recieved, whilst we will try our best to support you with applying, please try to limit communication during this time - our small team of staff cannot prioritise processing applications and answering enquiries via telephone and email, surges in correspondence will delay processing times, if you do have an enquiry please limit this to one email and bare in mind response times can take upto 5 working days.

If you are attempting to register using your Student ID but it is not currently working, please click the button below to register for a temporary account.

Our Bursary team will then attempt to link this to your student record once you enrol.

If you do not enrol prior to 01.09.2023, your temporary account will be deactivated.

Your Student Number can be found at the bottom of your college ID card i.e. SMI123456789
The activation email will be sent to your college email address, you will need to click the link in this email to activate your account. You can login to your Unimail account here (click the email button)
If you do not recieve the Activation link - this will be because your enrolment record has not yet been created - please email [email protected] who will activate this for you
