The 2026/27 bursary application portal is now live and open and we are accepting applications.
- Please note we can only provide the support that you are eligible for.
- Please make sure you tick ALL the elements of the bursary you want to be considered for.

20+ childcare application - You will need to complete a seperate application form if you require support with childcare costs. Please email [email protected] for a copy. You will need to print this form, sign it along with your childcare provider, and email a scan or clear photograph of both sides to [email protected].

Temporary Account Registration for New Students

If you are a new student and do not yet have a Student ID, please click the button below to register for a temporary account.

Our bursary team will then link this temporary account to your student record once you enrol.

Please note: If you do not enrol by 10.09.2026, your temporary account may be deactivated.

If this is your first time applying online for financial support, please enter your details and create a password. If you have applied previously and your login details no longer work, you will need to re-register.

Helpful Hints:

Your Student Number: This can be found at the bottom of your College ID card (e.g., SMI123456789).
Missing Activation Link: The activation email will be sent to your University of Derby Unimail account (e.g., [email protected]).
Please note: This cannot be changed to a personal email address.
If you do not receive the activation email, it may be because your enrolment record has not yet been created—even if you were a student with us previously.
Please email [email protected], and we will manually activate your account within 3–5 working days.
